A Hardworking artist, businessman and community activist, Manuel “!E!” Jackson has nurtured Ekqualyte and watch it blossom from a mere idea in a Raleigh, NC, garage to a street trendy clothing line with a creative and artistic urban feel. In 2006 Jackson relocated to Los Angles, CA, to pursue degree in Apparel Manufacturing and Management and is now an esteemed Alumnus of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

Ekqualyte is an artistic movement with a multifaceted and cultural mission: break down classifications, color lines, and boundaries. The brand speaks to a street trendy and fashion forward audience. “Faces of Ekqualyte,” Jackson’s 2010 Spring collection, features the faces of influential leaders and iconic images found throughout pop culture and world history. The line allows fashion forward and art conscious people to choose a face that represents their culture, life and personality as an individual. The Faces collection will be followed by “Street Sophisticated Neckwear” a new line of designer ties for Summer 2010.

Committed to diversity, the charitable arm of Ekqualyte garners support for local non-profits and schools through Artist Appreciation Night Charity Events. Original hand painted pieces from the “Abstract Apparel” collection will be introduced as framed art and limited edition pieces for auction to raise money for local non-profits.
